The staff at Vermont Kung Fu Academy comprises several individuals with diverse backgrounds and experience. Each person has been at the Academy for at least 5 years, and the entire staff represents over 100 years of combined experience in martial arts training.

The staff meets regularly to discuss the Academy curriculum, training and day-to-day operation, as well as for instructor-level training from Sifu Makaris. All staff members are active in some aspect of operating and maintaining the Academy, over and above their teaching responsibilities.

In addition to participating in the variety of disciplines taught at the school, instructors are encouraged to further their education and augment their training through VKFA-sponsored workshops and outside events such as local, national, and international workshops, seminars, lectures and tournaments.
