We would like to congratulate two Vermont Kung Fu Academy students, John Fusco, and Morgan Benoit on their new Kung Fu Action/Adventure epic, The Forbidden Kingdom, opening today April 18th, 2008.
John Fusco, veteran screenwriter of such films as Young Guns, Young Guns II, Hidalgo, Thunderheart, and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, wrote the story based in part on his experiences training at the Vermont Kung Fu Academy.
Morgan Benoit began studying at the Academy at age 15, leaving for China at 18. He trained hard in China, improving his Kung Fu, and started working in the Hong Kong film industry. Back in touch with John after several years, he auditioned for The Forbidden Kingdom, which stars Jackie Chan and Jet Li, and earned an important role in the movie.
